There is something that most MX racers do not know that ALL race track owners and organizers do know and possibly overlook. Until you need their services. Your emergency crew! I spend my days down on the track and watch them watch you to get you aid when needed. I personally have assisted them drag a few of you off the track and am grateful we have Sugar Grove Volunteer Fire department available on race weekends. This is a necessity, a requirement to have them here. Not just a service. It is a cost to them and us for this service. The crew there supports us and spends a great deal of time getting Mapleshade race weekends covered as well as being there for other emergencies throughout our community.
Here in downtown Sugar Grove on benefit weekends and community events you can smell the chicken pit cooking their famous winged bird BBQ. in front of the VFD along school street. It usually sells out before most can get their to go dinners. Well the crew will be bringing the chicken to Mapleshade-MX.
Please stop by the Sugar Grove VFD BBQ up on the hill and purchase your chicken dinner for you and your family. Your purchase is a thank you and allows your gate to drop every moto. Also say hello and give a thanks to the field crew at the track. They have saved me more than once from heat stroke!
